For three days, Europe's bike capitol Copenhagen turned yellow as Tour de France entered the city. One of Denmark's biggest event agencies, ALIVE DK, needed both aerial and ground coverage to document the celebration for their VIP guests. Flyby flew by to capture the action.

During the three day celebration, there would be three different race starts across the Danish country. ALIVE DK was responsible for catering to VIP guests who was following the race from each city, and our task was to capture the feeling and intensity. The client wanted one long-form video, one short-form video and a batch of images.

Challenge

To connect the guests to the action happening on the street we had to use every tool in the toolbox, making sure we were covered from both ground and air. We had to make sure we were following local drone operation laws, intensely pay attention to changes in the biking schedule, all while staying invincible to the high-paying guests.

Solution

Shared responsibility and rigorous attention to detail was the only way to make these intense days run smoothly. Each location followed the same pre-determined format, where one would separate tasks. To connect the guests to the action, we often positioned ourselves right next to them to create a point-of-view feeling through the video.

Conclusion

Creating platform-wide content requires a good plan and structured processes to make sure everything goes well. We thank ALIVE DK for the trust, and if you're ever planning out your next event, don't hesitate to reach out.
